Miniature subsea digital cathodic
potential measurement system
The OTAQ Offshore Mini CP is a miniature, digital Cathode Potential measurement system that can be used to assess the corrosion state of subsea structures, ship hulls, rig legs and other metal structures. It works with industry standard offshore CP contact and proximity probes.
The Mini CP comes in two versions. The shallow water version is a small, moulded module in-line with the probe and can be mounted to the smallest commercial ROVs. The deep rated unit is made from Anodised Aluminium, is very compact and can be used on inspection class ROVs and above.
The Mini CP works with industry standard offshore CP contact and proximity probes by digitising the probe’s signal and transmitting it via RS232 or RS485 to the surface where it can displayed on an overlay or via OTAQ’s own software interface.
Applications
- Assesses the corrosion state of offshore metal structures
- Used on pipelines, ship hulls, rig legs and spans etc
- Aides in assessing life of anode protection systems
